The Pierce County Restaurant Rally program is designed to encourage patronage at full-service restaurants and keep local restaurants in business. During the promotional period, November 8-19, 2020 (excluding Friday and Saturday), participating restaurants will offer a 30% discount to dine-in or take-out patrons, with compensation of 50% of gross sales. Please note the offer is not available nor applicable through 3rd party delivery services.

Restaurants participating in this program must:

  • Be a full-service restaurant with a NAICS Code of 722511, primarily engaged in providing food services to patrons who order and are served while seated and pay after eating.
  • Be physically located in Pierce County, open prior to March 23, 2020, and be currently open to the public.
  • Operate in accordance with the Safe Start Washington reopening plan and applicable federal, state, and local public health guidance and directives.
  • Provide patrons a 30 percent discount on dine-in or take-out meal purchases, excluding alcohol, during the promotional period November 8-19, 2020 (excluding Friday and Saturday). Please note the offer is not available nor applicable through 3rd party delivery services.
  • Provide weekly documentation of gross sales of dine-in and take-out meals (excluding alcohol and sales via 3rd party delivery services) where discounts were applied, excluding alcohol, and the value of discounts given during the promotional period.
  • Agree to promote the Pierce County Restaurant Rally program.
  • Subject to available funds, a business approved to participate will be eligible to receive up to $90,000 and no less than $5,000. Payments under the program will be made on a reimbursement basis following submittal of documentation of gross sales and discounts. All documentation for reimbursement must be submitted no later than November 29, 2020.

    Grant funds may be taxable income; please consult with your financial advisor for guidance; a 1099 will be issued to a grant or loan recipient as required by the IRS no later than February 2021.
