Tacoma | Pierce County Breakfast Restaurant Reviews

Breakfast can be as simple as a bowl of oatmeal, or as overwhelming as Sunday Brunch. Breakfast alone is nice, but can be even more enjoyable with friends and family. It's a great way to start the day.

  • The Urban Elk Restaurant Breakfast Review - Allenmore Golf Course - My wife and I loved the chicken fried steak. She thought the gravy was a little salty, but still good. I would order it again . . . and again. I found the gravy excellent. - Tacoma

  • Breakfast at Chambers Bay - Restaurant Review - The coffee was good and the prices reasonable. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Overall, it was an excellent breakfast. Plus, the view was incredible. - University Place

  • The Harvester Restaurant Review in Tacoma's Stadium Business District - Great customer service, excellent middle-American breakfast of gravy, fried eggs, chicken fried steak, and crispy hashbrowns. What's not to like? - Tacoma

  • Mary Mary - They don't have a website and they are not open past three in the afternoon . . . great place for breakfast or lunch, however. - Spanaway

  • A little outside of Pierce County. Just off I-5 at Hawk's Prairie and well worth the trip. - Lacey/Hawks Prairie

  • Pacific Southern - We had to wait and they messed up orders, but I was more than pleased, with my order. The hash browns were dark, reddish brown. My chicken fried steak was crunchy and the gravy was absolutely perfect. - Tacoma

  • Biscuit Heaven - Close to Tacoma and Lakewood, but not Heaven. - Lakewood

  • Bair Bistro - Next time I would substitute buttered toast for the biscuit and ask for plenty of gravy to cover the potatoes. The gravy was excellent. It had lots of sausage and black pepper. - Steilacoom

  • Cook's Tavern - The toast was good, but could have been served with more pats of butter. The gravy was excellent. My buddy Mike, gave me several smashed and fried potatoes, which were good with the gravy. By themselves I think they would taste dry. - Tacoma

  • Southern Kitchen - I might not like the biscuits without the gravy, but with the gravy they were excellent as was the gravy. The eggs were perfect. The hashbrowns were even darker than I had hoped. Guy Fieri of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives loves Southern Kitchen. - Tacoma

  • Waffle Stop - A friend noted that it was mostly set up for one or two people. The two top was basically a one top with a little more room . . . but not that much more - Tacoma

  • Just Around the Corner #2 - The full Hobo Hash (scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage, mushrooms, and gravy) weighs five pounds. Dave settled for the half order and liked it, but could only eat about a third of it. - Tacoma

  • A second trip to Gig Harbor - Prom Night at Skansie Park - Breakfast at Netshed No.9 - This was a relaxing weekend to take in the sites of Gig Harbor. We stayed right downtown at the Maritime Inn, dined within walking distance and even visited the Tacoma Industrial Airport for some biscuits and gravy. Gig Harbor is such a gem in an area of remarkable jewels. - Gig Harbor

  • The Buttered Biscuit - The Buttered Biscuit has two locations. One in downtown Sumner and one in Bonney Lake. The meals are worth a trip from almost anywhere in Pierce County. If you're coming from DuPont, you may want to stop in Fife and park. That way you could walk off a tiny amount of calories between Fife and Sumner hiking each way. Returning you could nap in your car before opening a doggie bag for a snack and then finish the drive home - Sumner

  • Tibbitts @ Fern Hill - The first food up was the Toasted Coconut and Banana French Toast with toasted coconut, banana, caramel, whipped cream, "bread pudding style" and vanilla bean ice cream. It was a huge tower of food topped by a sliced strawberry. Everyone had a bite. Everyone enjoyed it. - We got off on the wrong foot, but will return. - Tacoma

  • The Homestead - A video screen at our booth alternately showed images of early Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash with food item offerings thrown in for color. As I listened to There Stands The Glass after already ordering, I nearly changed my mind three times because of the food pictures. - Tacoma

  • Manny's Place - One of my favorites at Alfred's (Puyallup Avenue) is the Chicken Fried Steak with Chorizo gravy. They serve it at Manny's, also - Tacoma

  • Fergie's On The Ave - They specialize in "Breakfast All Day." Good breakfast . . . all day. - Tacoma

  • West Pioneer Grill Restaurant - Roccio and her pals left The Harvester Restaurant in the Stadium District in favor of a new restaurant in downtown Puyallup. The lucky seven, including Roccio's daughter Carla, seem delighted with their new working place. - Puyallup

  • The Flotation Device - Next time I will order the waffle with sausages, which I will share with Peg and an extra order (2 links) just for me. THEY WERE DELICIOUS!!!! They were cooked perfectly as was the bacon, the waffle, and the pancakes. - Purdy
